Recycled Glass Stained Glass Flower Panel

I made this small stained glass window panel using recycled bottles. I cut the bottles, then melt them in my kiln to flatten them. The flower’s brown centerpiece is cast in the kiln over a mold I made myself. Next, I cut the pieces, assemble them, wrap them in copper foil, then solder, patina, and clean and polish the panel. The panel is framed in wood and firmly affixed in the frame with silicone. It measures approximately 7.5 inches square and comes with an attached chain for hanging, which adds about 6 inches to the hanging length. Note: this panel, while small is too heavy to hang with a suction cup. You must hang it from a hook screwed into your window frame.
